After nearly two decades of ministry, I’ve learned something valuable about myself: I’m not this or that. I’m this and that.

I’m a pastor and a thinker.

I’m a thinker and a theologian.

I care deeply about how the person and work of Jesus informs who we are and how we think about and engage with the world around us.

I’ve been wrestling with how to present myself online in a way that captures the fullness of who I am.

I’ve finally found it.

“with Sean Dreher” is a space situated at the intersections of biblical theology, spiritual formation, and cultural commentary. Currently comprised of three newsletters, “Work These Words,” which explores the words of Jesus and how to apply them in the modern world, “Against the Grain,” which offers commentary on culture, conscience, and curiosity rooted in a missional framework, and On My Shelf, which offers a curated look at the books shaping my life.
